Mistakes

I wrote this poem a LONG time ago... It isn't edited, polished, done over or nothin' this is exactly how it was back in fourth grade when I wrote it:

Mistakes
Everyone makes mistakes,
That’s what I’ve been told,
No one’s always fully awake,
Neither young nor old
Sometimes I realize the things I’ve done,
But by then it is too late,
I hide and cower and try to run,
And it’s myself I hate
At least I know I’ll learn,
I know that I can try
I can fight this feeling of concern
I’ll get there by and by
So why do I feel so bad?
Is there anything I can do,
Too get over why I’m sad
And begin the day anew?

So you wrote Mistakes in fourth grade? I am impressed. You are very astute at self-expression in a poetic way, very early on, Pixie. You have a genuine talent here. May you spread those pixie wings and let this talent take you places!

To TL: Not a prodigy child, a Pixie. Magic O' Mind, I call it.

To SF: Once I got my heart set, I am absolutely determined to get it done. I got very... fierce about my poetry. Practicing it and slaving over it days at time. Okay, that's a BIT of an exaggeration. But I did work at it. I need to get back in the habit of writing it...
